Aerial Photography Costs

The cost of aerial photography varies considerably, as it is dependent on a number of variables, including:

• The precise location and character of the site • The time of year and prevailing weather conditions • What type of photography does the client require? • How many photographs are required and in what format? • Will this require special permissions or arrangements? • What type of aircraft or helicopter will be required?

Each of these factors has to be carefully evaluated before an accurate estimate can be prepared,
as some can have a very significant impact on the cost.

For example, the operating cost of a single-engined helicopter would normally be around two to three times
that of a fixed-wing aircraft, while the use of a twin-engined helicopter (madatory over large built-up areas)
would normally double that price again.
